Congratulations to those of you who got engaged over the holidays! How romantic and memorable! Our phone is already ringing for couples looking to book their upcoming weddings. Check out our 2012 wedding special on our wedding page. http://www.craigplace.com/weddings.html
I can’t believe December is half over already, and the busiest part is yet to come! We are booked up through the end of the year. Gregg was the photographer today and although his pictures are usually quite good (of course, my editing doesn’t hurt either), this picture was extraordinary right from the camera. Cheers to everyone this holiday season!
This week has been busy! Fall weddings come to a close and now the December wedding season begins, with red rose bouquets, twinkling Christmas tree lights and kisses under the mistletoe. Come share in the holiday magic! There are holiday celebrations, markets, and festivals all around San Antonio this month. This weekend our own Monte Vista is holding a holiday market.
We had the pleasure of having guests return again this year for the holiday as well as meeting some new couples who exchanged their wedding vows or renewed their vows at the Inn this week.
All of our brides were beautiful, but Saturday’s flower girls were just picture perfect, and as well-mannered and sweet as can be.
Wow, it’s been a busy November so far! Of course the 11/11/11 date was solidly booked for weddings and rooms (on such unusual dates we agree to do more than one wedding) and we could have done many more. Not only were our own brides and grooms staying, but the other rooms were filled with other honeymooners. Already 10/11/12 is booking up! Pictured here are the new Mr. and Mrs. Campbell from 11/15/11.
This year’s Halloween wedding didn’t have the spiders and eyeballs on the food table (like last year’s) but it was the first time that the guests were in costume. What a fun idea!
The bride and groom looked elegant and their attire reminded me of Alice in Wonderland or similar storybook-type characters. But what I was most impressed with is the fact that the bride made the dress herself and it was BEAUTIFUL.
One of last week’s brides had asked about upgrading to a bouquet to include a variety of white flowers, greenery and pine cones. I was a bit nervous about it since it was the first time I had ever attempted one with pine cones. It turned out well though, I thought. It looks bigger in the photo than it really was. She was a very petite bride. By the way, the photo was taken by Straughan Photography.
